Once you buy a book in a certain edition, the content will not change anymore until perhaps it is time for another edition to be printed.
A website is subject to change all the time! As a result a web designer is never really truly done designing. There are new products, latest news, price updates and new contact information. To add to that list, new content also needs to be generated all the time.
In order for a website to be truly effective it needs to get many repeat visitors and even more traffic.
