Embossed and Curved Metal Text Effect
Start off by making a new canvas, 550*200px.
Fill it with #2E5164 (grayish-blue)
Select the typing tool and type any word inside. The color does not matter. We worked with white letters, using customized MicrogrammaDBolExt font.

Go to layer >> layer styles >> Options and apply the following settings for

Pay attention and set the overlay settings to only 50% as you really won’t need more for this effect.

The Bevel and Emboss is pretty much what makes this text effect worth seen, we are trying to create the effect of metal and clever embossing is our key here. Don’t be afraid to slightly overdo this effect, because at worse, it will look like rough metal and not smoothly polished like ours.

Use one of the default curves that come pre-installed in Photoshop CS

Custom shape for the contour is what makes this text effect to be unique and interesting. This is the shape I have made. All you need to do is copy these anchors and curves, after double clicking your “contour” shame small window.

Don’t forget to reduce the overlay of the color to 50%, as we don’t want the text to be black.
After clicking “OK”, duplicate the layer. Take the upper layer and drag it down.
Go to Edit >> Transform >> Flip Vertical. Adjust your image so that the upper layers will be exactly above the layer your flipped, but with about 2-3 pixels space between them.
Set the Opacity of the duplicated layer to 28%.

As we want the shine (reflection) to be more delicate, we will only leave the upper part of it.
Add Layer Mask.
Select the Gradient Tool – From Black to White, and drag it from the bottom of the image until the beginning of the first layer. This will distort a bit the Layer settings, but this is our intention.
That’s it, here is the result!

Design a Mystical Miniature Scene with a Fairy Girl
This tutorial has been written by Dreleen.
I decided to create a tut for this image.

Ok get your images together. For this pic I used the following:

Go ahead duplicate all the pics and use masks to single out your selections

Once you make your selections delete the back grounds and hide the original layer

Open a new file, I used a large size like 3000 x 2500. And Cropped it at the end. Drag and place all your elements onto the page. Hide everything but the girl. Because the color of her clothes don’t match the theme of the pic we will have to adjust it. Start out by desaturating her. Go in and make separate selections masks for her skin, shirt, shorts and hair and save them.
Design a Realistic Crumbled Gold Text Effect
Crumbled Gold Text Effect tutorial written by Lorelei
Today we will learn how to make a text effect which looks like crumbled gold. The tutorial is very easy if you have the needed components.
This will be your final result…

And now lets see how can we achieve this look.
Create a new layer – 450*300 px, and fill it with the following colour: #3c0101. Of course you may choose any other hue.
Select the typing tool (or press “T”) and type any word in the middle of the canvas. The choice of font here is very essential, do not choose any thin fonts or fonts with many twirls, it wont look good for this particular effect. We need a very bold font with slight crumbly effect, such as “Defused”, which is what we used here, download it free at dafont.com It doesn’t matter what colour you chose for typing as we will overlay it by a pattern.

Go to Layer >> Layer Styles >> Blending Options and apply carefully these settings.

For Bevel and emboss: Highlight mode colour: #e5d266. Shadow mode: #5a3015.

The texture for Bevel effect is called “RustTileBump” and is pre installed in many versions of PS already. If you don’t have it, it wont be a problem to download it from any PhotoShop free resources website.

Design Heavenly Castle Illusion Photo Manipulation
Heavenly Castle – Final Result:

So, this is the photo-manipulation tutorial we are going to make today, it will create the illusion of a castle, weaved from air above the sea. These sorts of illusions sometimes happen when you feel like an object levitates above the water. So…
1. Start of by taking a picture of a shore. Feel free to use Digital Stock Photo.
2. …and, a photo of some caste (we used Prague Castle, but you can take any object u want for this manipulation)
3. Place the photo of the castle, above the “sea” layer.
4. Now, using the eraser tool with soft edge (50px or even bigger), erase everything around the castle, leaving only the castle (or object) itself. This would create the illusion, as if the castle “stands” on the clouds. I’d not recommend actually cropping it precisely, as it should have a dreamy effect and soft edges, otherwise your layer would not look any natural.

5. Duplicate the layer with the sea, and drag the copy on top of the castle. Using the eraser tool, remove the spot above the castle (you can reduce
the opacity while erasing, so you’d see what you are actually doing). This will make the blending more natural.

6. Make a new layer, and place it behind the castle’s layer. Choose a Rounded Brush with Hard edge and using the white colour (#FFFFFF) make a sort of stamp, so you will get this kind f sun (or moon) behind it)

7. While the white ball is selected, go to Layer >> Layer styles >> Outer glow…
